PRAYER – Toward the end of our closing song, two people from our prayer ministry team will come up to the right of the stage to offer prayer for anyone who would like to speak with them. They will hang around for a few minutes after the service in case anyone needs prayer. We also have a prayer time every Sunday before the early worship service at 8:30 am in front of the stage in the worship center. Our focus during that time is on our church and on any personal concerns that you may want to share.
PARKING – Please do not park at the Common Man parking lot if you’re going to the 10:45 service because they start serving lunch at 11 am, and we don’t want to keep any of their customers from parking there. Thank you!
CHRISTMAS PAGEANT PRODUCTION – Practice on Sundays beginning September 20th for K-8th grade. (See Krystal Elder for more details) Rehearsals start at around 12:15 pm (after the second service) and last until 2 pm. Please bring a lunch or snack to have before rehearsal. Performance will be at the morning worship services on December 20th. Reach out to Krystal Elder if you would like to help out with props or costumes. (603-481-0199).
ANOTHER BAPTISM – Bri Porter (a friend of the Elder family) will be getting baptized at the beach next Sunday at around 12:20 pm. She will also be sharing her testimony at the beginning of both services. – right after our first worship song. If anyone else would like to get baptized next Sunday, please see Ernie after today’s worship service. Our next breakfast bar, potluck lunch, and baptism at the church is scheduled for Sunday, November 15th.
CIDER, T-SHIRTS, AND FLEECE BLANKETS – Our free t-shirts and blankets are available to pick up outside from 8:45- 9 a.m., 10-10:45 am and 11:45-12:15 am for anyone who did not receive a t-shirt last week or last fall, or a blanket last week. Free quarts of cider from the Phelps family are also available (One for each household) ALL Toddler Zone and Kid Zone participants can receive a shirt if they did not receive one last week, and a backpack from their teacher if they did not get one yet. Next week, we plan to give away books for all ages. Then, on October 18th, we plan to give away some Dunkin treats, and on October 25th, we will have tumblers for all kids and for every adult and youth who did not receive one last year.
TRUNK OR TREAT HELP NEEDED – On Sunday, October 25th, we are expecting about 500 people (250 kids and 250 adults to our annual Trunk or Treat event here at Ashland Community Church. We’re hoping to have about 25 trunks plus another 5 stations inside for games (with candy) x 3 pieces of candy per trunk (or station) x 250 kids = 22,500 pieces of candy (or 750 pieces per trunk or station)! So we need lots of candy, lots of trunks, and lots of people (about 50!) to help with the food and drinks that we will be serving that night. Please let us know if you can help by filling out the orange form in the bulletin and handing it to Tess or Kyle Clark after today’s worship service.
